Foreginer Registration is necessary for foreigners living in Japan.
All foreigners stauing in WAkayama City for more than 90 days must acquire
Foreigner Registration at the Citizen's Affaires Division("shimin-ka") of
Wakayama City Hall(tel : 32-0001). The applicant must submit 2 photographs(4cm
* 3cm) and his/her passport.
After obtaining the certificate, the registrants(except persons under the
age of 16 years) must carry it at all time, and present it to the Immigration
Inspector, Immigration Control Officer, Police Official, if such an official
requests the presentation of his/her certificate.
In case of the birth of a child, marriage, change of address, occupation,
status of residence, period of stay, and name and location of office, you
must report those facts to the Shimin-ka eithin 14 days.
Validity periods are different for each type ofvisa. Make sure which type
of visa you have.
