Electricity flows throghout Japan. The Kansai region uses 100 volt 60 cycle elctricity.
Confirm the coltage of any important electric appliances before using them.

  1. At hte time of moving in
    Notify the electricity company of your name, trlrphone number and the date of your moving into the Wakayama service station on the Kansai Electric Power Co.,Ltd. in advance.
  2. How to pay the charge
    Memters are read once a onth and the amount of electricity used is written on a slip which is given to you. There are two ways of payment. One is to pay the bill to the collector who comes to your house. The other is to pay through your account at the bank automatically.
  3. When moving out
    At the time of cutting off electricity, if you notify the power company on the designated day, the person in charge will come and cut off the electricity and give you the bill.
  4. Precautions for Preventing Accidents
    1. Electic appliances used in a damp room must be grounded.
    2. Plugging many appliances into one electrical outlet can be very dangerous.
    3. When leaving home, try ro disconnect unused electic cords.
    4. Using many aplliances at one time can cause short circuits.
    5. When electricity is suddenly turned off,in the case of only your house, check the main breaker switch and change the fuse.
