- How to use a bus
When you go to shopping or visiting friends, a bus is convenient. At thwt
time, please take the folloeing precautions.
- When you get the bus.
- Wait for the bus at the bus stop and when the bus com, enter theough the
rear door. Dont forget to take a small piece of papre called "seiri-ken"
(adjustment card) at the entrance step.(It is not issued at the starting
point on each bus line.)
- When you get off the bus
- To get off the bus, listen to the bus stop announcements that are made
along the way. When you hear the name of the bus stop where you want to
get off, push one of the buttons next to the eindow.
Move forward, look at the fare table at the front of the bus and find the
fare that corresponds with the number on your "Seiri-ken".
- When you have to made change, you can get change for bills by using a "Ryogaeki"(money
exchange machine). The "Ryogaeki" is usually next to the driver. Before you
get onthe bus, please have small change available.
- How to use a train
There are two main terminal station in Wakayama City. One is Wakayama City
Station(Nankai line) and the other is Wakayama Station(JR line and KIshigawa
line).
- Wakayama City Station
- When you go to Osaka(Namba) and Kada districts.
- Wakayama Station
- When you go to Shirahama, Shingu, Osaka(Tennoji), Hashimoto and Kishigawa
districts.
- Look at the fare table and correct fare. Buy a ticket at an automatic ticket
vending machine. The ticket gate in Wakayama City Station is automated.
- How to use a taxi
To take a taxi
- On the street, hail a taxi by raising your hand.
- Take a taxi at the taxi stand which is located at the main stations.
- When you want a taxi to come to your house, call the company of your choice.
