1. Renting accomodation
   If you are going to stay in Wakayama for a certain length of time, you will have to rent a house or a flat.(We call flats "apato" or "manshon" in Japanese)
   In this case, you will have to go to a real estate agent' office. For those staying in Japan for a short period, it may be difficult to pay the hight fees of the real estate agent and key money etc. Therefore we would recommend that tou first try to seek the help of a Japanese friend when searching for an apartment.
   • Be aware that in Japan you will need a guarantor when renting an apartment.

2. Moving
   Generally, you can use moving companies.
   The packing will be done by specialists but you should put your clothes and books into corrugated cardboard boxes beforehand.
   Fragile items should be packed very carefully.
   If you do not know any moving companies, ask you neighbors.
