Health Insurance System

There are tow types of major insurance system available. One is Social Insurance Plan(an insurance plan for employers) and the othe is National Health Insurance Plan. You should choose one of then and you cannot join both.

1. Social Insurance Plan
   It is available ofr anyone who works in full-time status for enterprises like a company and factory who are under the application of the Social Insurance Plan. The company you are working will take care of the application procedure.
2. National Health Insurance Plan
   It is available for those who meet certain requirement described below
   1. You must be a registered foreigner who are permitted to stay in Japan for at least one year. You can be registered at the Regidents' Affairs Division in the City Holl.
   2. You are not in the Social Insurance Plan.
